Blue Door of Death

I had to bring in a bunch of stuff at 5:50 AM (this morning) and I could not get into the building because the computer to open the front door "crashed".

Toilet disservice

On Sunday, April 28, the toilet flapper broke.  On Monday I send an email to the administrator.  This is the first time I needed work done in my apartment in over a year with the new management.

She responded offering to fix it at 9AM the next day.... I sent an email basically saying okay... call me at 9.  Nothing happened. 

Further emails were exchanged and promise were made, but no action.  Some emails were not responded to.

Thursday, I got a new flapper and fixed it myself. 

Friday, I told her off.  Updated my blog. 

Elevator back

We finally got our elevators back after about 8 months or retrofitting....

Lost of door mail delivery

Got a notice we were loosing mail delivery to our door and we would have to go downstairs to get our mail from a communal mailbox.

Two days to empty my locker

I get a call on August 31 telling me I have to empty my locker by Tuesday.  This was just before I planned a long Labour Day weekend of sailing.

Instead of fighting this, I rented a trailer which was not easy since it was students' moving day.  I ended up going to the East End to rent a trailer and called Daniele, Chris and Lynda to help me do the move.

The rental board says I am entitled to more notice for such major renovations.

The told me the locker and garage renovations would take two months.  As of August 2013, the garage and locker is still not ready.

No Laundry machines

We just got our new laundry machines.  They took away the old machines about two weeks ago.

We were not notified.  Not new machines for two weeks. 

The credit on our old cards did not work on the new machines.

Nobody told us anything.

Lots of renovations

Have not met with new owners, but they seem very professional and I have good feelings about them.

The lobby which was the nicest part of the building was gutted. I can only imagine the plans are to set a much higher level of standard of the new owners.

The garage has been closed for a month for major rejuvenation. They say it will take one month, but I bet it will be 3 to 6 months.

Got notice we are loosing our garbage chute.

My new Kitchen Floor

Installed a new floating floor in kitchen on Christmas eve

Access to garage is not secure

The access to the garage is supposed to be secure to prevent unauthorized access and to act as a firewall to prevent the spreading of fire.

However the door is out of alignment so it does not close properly.

Cere is gone,. Turek is back

I just got news that Cere is gone and Turek is coming back.

Interesting ....

No street parking becuase the 5999 Monkland garage was closed for repairs.

Parking on the street was a mess during garage repairs.

More dirt

I came home at 9 ish and found that dirt throughout the living room

I called Turek on Friday and he say that there was no work done yesterday.

I talked to the workers and they said that there was a lot of work including the cutting of a big steel pipe and he thought that there would be a fire with all the smoke.

Turek said he would meet with me on Friday and he never called. I called him at 5:15 and he said he was too busy to see me. I took my car to work today so that I could get back to the building in a reasonable amount of time.

Dirt came in from vents and Peter's swearing

Dirt came in to my apartment as I got home last night on Thursday. It seemed to have come in through the stove and bathroom vents.

On Friday morning I complained about Dust in the apartment again.

Complained that Peter told me to "fuck off" and called me a "mother fucker"

Peter complained that I was yelling at him. I was not yelling.

Egan was a witnessed this.

Turek agreed to meet with me later today.

I told him I would take my car to work today so that I be sure to show him the problems

Later he told me if he could not see me. He did not have enough time.

Tear down hallway ceiling

They tore down the ceiling in the hallway and a lot of gypsum dust got sucked into my apartment.

Gave Turek hell
